Sreeshankar, who had won the gold in men’s long jump with an effort of 7.99m on March 6 at the Federation Cup National Championships at Patiala, is set to be operated at his hometown of Palakkad in Kerala. No. 1 Georgia meets No. 11 Kentucky in a battle of unbeaten teams in the SEC East. The Wildcats remain huge underdogs heading into Sanford Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. matchup. No. 12 Oklahoma State travels to No. 25 Texas in the other game between ranked teams, a matchup with Big 12 championship implications. Can the Cowboys stay unbeaten and keep pace with No. 4 Oklahoma? Those are the highlights of a schedule with seven ranked teams on a bye week....

Of particular interest will be No. 9 Indiana and No. 3 Ohio State, which face off in a battle to help determine the Big Ten East champion. The Hoosiers have already beaten Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State, so a win over the Buckeyes — which hasn’t occurred since 1988 — could clinch the division for Indiana....

The Crimson Tide began the post-Tua Tagovailoa era convincingly, with a 66-3 shellacking of Western Carolina as backup quarterback Mac Jones finished with 275 passing yards and three touchdowns. “He’s in the right place mentally, which has always been an important thing for Mac,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said in his weekly radio show on Wednesday. The tie is to the just-rebooted Superstar Mode, where a single player, rather than an entire team, is controlled through a career.
