Just two plays after a 25-yard run, Washington’s Psalm Wooching sacked Liufau, who and landed awkwardly on his leg. Steven Montez replaced Liufau on the possession.

Liufau returned in the third quarter, but his first pass was intercepted by Taylor Rapp and returned for a touchdown.
Liufau was knocked out of the loss against Michigan earlier this season with an ankle injury. The Buffaloes lost 45-28.
