Despite the setbacks, Foster has still put up stellar numbers, making him a focal point heading into Thursday night’s showdown with the Colts (8:25 p.m. ET, CBS, NFL Network).

Foster is on the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook’s props board as a -120 favorite to score a touchdown. Even-money is being offered to those who believe Indianapolis will keep him out of the box.

Betting on players to score can be risky propositions because it’s often difficult to forecast how a team will come about its points.

If there’s one guy to bank on though, it’s Foster, who has seasons of 18, 12, and 17 “Namaste bows” – his signature TD celebration. That stretch was from 2010-12, a long time ago relative to the life span of running backs, but he remains the focal point of the Texans’ offense and will be a go-to option on Thursday between the 20s, in the red zone and at the goal line. He has three TDs in four games this season, including both of the Texans’ last week against Dallas.

Furthermore, it’s not as if the Colts are adept at stopping the run. They’re allowing teams to chew off 4.6 yards per rush against them, so the Texans should be able to move the ball fairly consistently – at least enough to help Foster find pay dirt.
