Given how slow the weapons in the LMG category are, it is easy to understand why some Call of Duty: Vanguard players have been avoiding the class. However, one weapon in particular holds up when compared to weapons from the more popular categories: the DP27. With a memorable appearance, excellent mobility, and good damage, the weapon will likely make an impact on any players that give it a chance.

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s DP27
Call of Duty: Vanguard is not the first entry in the franchise to feature the DP27, as the weapon was also included in 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War. The gun quickly became a fan favorite due to its unique aesthetic, with a massive circular magazine placed right on top of the weapon. Reloading from the top of the gun is certainly unique, making for a memorable animation that is sure to stick with players whenever they think about the gun.
Fortunately, the DP27’s magazine does not get in the way like what is seen with the Owen Gun, so players should have no problem seeing their enemies when they aim down the sights. While the DP27 is not any Operator’s favorite weapon, meaning it will level up slowly, players should be surprised by how solid it is in its default form. With such great mobility, it does not feature the slowness that usually holds back the LMG class, and players can instead focus on boosting its other stats.
Best Gunsmith Attachments For Call of Duty: Vanguard’s DP27
While inside Call of Duty: Vanguard’s gunsmith, players will want to equip the Recoil Booster, as it adds some fire rate to the weapon. Given how large the magazines are on LMGs, players should not be running out of ammo too quickly. Another essential attachment is the Kovalevskaya 604MM barrel, as it provides more bullet velocity and range while also adding a bit of accuracy. Its only downside is a penalty for hipfire accuracy, which is essentially irrelevant since players will almost always be aiming the DP27. Optic is personal preference, as always.
The ZAC S3 TAK stock is a solid option, as it gives the DP27 better ADS speeds. With the gun already allowing players to move faster than they can with Call of Duty: Vanguard’s other LMGs, it is worth improving its ADS to make its handling even better. The Carver Foregrip is a solid underbarrel due to its help with recoil control, while the .30-06 81 Round Pans provide some more damage. The Pine Tar Grip rear grip will help with recoil control once again, balancing out the hit the weapon’s accuracy takes when using 81 Round Pans.
Call of Duty: Vanguard players will want to use the Lengthened ammo type, as it provides some extra bullet velocity that helps fired shots reach their targets quicker. Gamers should also equip the Sleight of Hand proficiency and the Fully Loaded kit. The former will provide quicker reloads, a must with any LMG, while the latter will give players more magazines to use in their gunfights. With this setup, the “dinner plate” gun should excel in any situation.
