One such project was in the works at Avalanche Studios. According to the reports, the Just Cause developer was making an Iron Man game, but it seems Disney and Marvel ultimately decided to pull the plug on the project. Rumor has it that a fresh attempt at an Iron Man video game is in development at EA, though that has yet to be announced in any official capacity.

While Iron Man fans wait to learn more about the potential EA-published game, they can check out a recently-released fan-made concept video that shows what an open world take on the project would be like if it were built using Unreal Engine 5. The video was uploaded by YouTube channel TeaserPlay, which releases all kinds of Unreal Engine 5 concept videos for various hypothetical video game projects.

The trailer is about 2 minutes long, and it shows Iron Man exploring a variety of environments, including a valley, a mountain, a city, and a desert. Viewers are able to see Iron Man’s flying capabilities in action, and they also get a glimpse at the hero’s Mk. 1 armor. Based on the trailer, it seems to mostly be taking inspiration from the first Iron Man movie, which saw similar elements at play.

The focus is primarily on Iron Man, but there are some scenes of Tony Stark outside his suit as well. The Tony Stark in this concept video doesn’t look much like Robert Downey Jr.’s take on the character, so it seems to be taking more inspiration from the comic books in that realm.

If the rumors are true about EA making an Iron Man game, it seems fans soon won’t have to watch concept videos like this to tide them over. There isn’t much known about the rumored Iron Man video game project beyond that it is supposedly in development at EA and that it will apparently be a single-player experience, so it may be quite some time before fans learn any more details in an official capacity.
